2018年6月に発売された5枚目のアルバム
「CHASING THE HORIZON 」
から表題曲を和訳していきます。
スティールパン風のキーボードでユニークに切り出されるタイトル曲“Chasing the Horizon”は、ベッドで子供にお伽話を語り聞かせるような歌詞も秀逸。この曲は前作の幾つかの収録曲と同じく、米国のプロデューサーであるショーン・ロペス（デフトーンズ関連作などを手がけている）との共作だ。多種多様なエレメントを飲み込んで成長するMWAMのサウンドを、全編に渡って青臭いまでのロマンチシズムが貫き、血の通った感情表現へと昇華させている。
らしいです。僕としてはマンウィズの中でも優しさを感じる曲で、未来に向かっていく強さを感じますね。ポップなテンポも朝の通勤や通学時に聴くと、楽しい気持ちになります。
